While Vaaniz provides beautiful in-app analytics, you will eventually need to share your raw data with your accountant, import it into Excel, or file your taxes.
The Vaaniz Reporting Engine allows you to generate highly detailed, accountant-ready CSV (Comma Separated Values) files with a single tap.
1. How to Generate a Report
Reports can be generated from your Analytics, Suppliers, or Inventory tabs.
- Select your desired Date Range (e.g., Current Month, Financial Year, or a Custom Date Range).
- Tap the Export / Download icon.
- Select the type of report you want to generate.
- The app will instantly compile your data into a spreadsheet file.
2. Types of Reports Available
Vaaniz offers six specialized report types, perfectly formatted for standard accounting software (like Tally or QuickBooks):
💰 1. Sales Summary
A high-level overview of your revenue.
- What it includes: Invoice Number, Date, Customer Name, Taxable Value, Total Tax, Discounts Applied, Final Total, and Payment Method.
- Best for: Daily cash reconciliation and general bookkeeping.
📦 2. Item-Wise Sales
A microscopic look at exactly what left your shelves.
- What it includes: Invoice Number, Date, Specific Item Name, Quantity Sold, Price per unit, and Total Line Value.
- Best for: Understanding product velocity and planning your next restock.
🏛️ 3. Tax / GSTR-1 Report (India)
Designed specifically for Indian businesses filing GST returns. Vaaniz automatically splits your sales into B2B (Business to Business) and B2C (Business to Consumer) based on whether the customer provided a GSTIN during checkout!
- What it includes: Invoice Number, Date, Customer GSTIN, State of Supply, Taxable Value, and the exact split of IGST, CGST, and SGST.
- Best for: Handing directly to your Chartered Accountant (CA) at the end of the month.

A complete log of your outgoing money.
- What it includes: Date, Expense Category (e.g., Rent, Utilities), Amount, Payment Method, and custom Notes.
