📊 Analytics & Reports

The Analytics tab in Vaaniz is your business intelligence hub. It automatically crunches your daily numbers—from sales and expenses to inventory value and tax liabilities—giving you a crystal-clear picture of your financial health.

To access this screen, tap the Analytics (Bar Chart icon) tab on your main navigation bar.

1. The Dashboard & Time Filters

When you open Analytics, you will see a snapshot of your business performance. At the top of the screen, use the Time Filters to change the data range instantly:

• Today: Perfect for checking your daily closing numbers.
• 7 Days & 30 Days: Great for identifying weekly or monthly trends.
• Custom Date Range: Tap this to select a specific start and end date (e.g., checking last quarter's performance for tax filing).

2. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

The top section features four critical color-coded cards that calculate your core financials:

• Total Sales: The gross amount of money generated from all invoices.
• Gross Profit: Your Total Sales minus the Cost Price of the items sold.
• Expenses: The total money spent on shop operations (e.g., rent, electricity, salaries) during this period.
• Net Profit: The ultimate health metric: Gross Profit - Expenses. If this is green, your business is making money!

💡 Pro Tip: Vaaniz also calculates your Total Inventory Value based on the cost price of all items currently sitting on your shelves. This is vital for insurance and valuation purposes.

3. Visual Charts & Trends

Numbers are good, but visuals are better. Scroll down to see interactive charts:

• Sales & Profit Trend (Line Chart): Tracks your daily revenue and profit side-by-side. Spikes or dips help you identify your busiest days of the week.
• Sales by Category (Pie Chart): Breaks down your revenue by product group. Instantly see if "Groceries" are outselling "Electronics," helping you decide where to invest your restocking budget.

4. Product Performance Tracking

Stop guessing what your customers want. Vaaniz tells you exactly what is working.

• Top 5 Best Sellers (Volume): The items flying off the shelves the fastest.
• Top 5 Most Profitable (Margin): The items making you the most money per sale. (Always try to keep these in stock!)
• Individual Product Search: Tap the "Search Product Performance" bar, type an item's name, and Vaaniz will generate a custom mini-report showing exactly how many units of that specific item were sold and the exact profit it generated within your selected date range.

5. Tax Reports & PDF Exports

Filing taxes has never been easier. Vaaniz automatically tracks your liabilities.
